Strawberry-Banana Smoothie
I have triumphantly returned from my vacation but have fallen ill! Great timing, right? What better way to boost some vitamins than a homemade smoothie? Also considering that my throat feels like I’m scraping glass shards against it every time I swallow, making eating solid foods an impossible/extremely painful experience.
Therefore… Stirring things up with Strawberry-Banana Smoothies! I asked around a bit, looked up a few recipes and sort of just tossed them all together to make this one:

Ingredients (Makes two of these tumbler sizes):
- 1 cup fresh strawberries with the greens cut off
- 1 ripe banana, peeled, clearly
- 4-5 ice cubes
- 1 tsp sugar or sugar-substitute
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup milk/orange juice of choice - I opted for a splash of Silk Light Soy Milk
Blend until smooth in a blender. You can also toss in some blueberries for an extra kick. About 1/4 to 1/2 cup.
